Check the DSG oil change history first, ask for service book stamps not just verbal assurance. Also inspect for water leakage in the boot, some units in this generation had a known drain issue.

Get a pre purchase inspection done independently, do not rely on the seller's mechanic. For a car this price, 3000 rupees for a proper PPI is nothing.
