The German District is an automotive enthusiast community platform for Skoda and Volkswagen owners in India. It is not a general car forum and not a Facebook group: it is a reviewed, single-brand-family community built around real ownership, real service advice, and real meetups.
The German District is a community platform, not a marketplace or a review site on its own. It brings together four things that Skoda and Volkswagen owners in India would otherwise have to piece together across a Facebook group, a WhatsApp group, and a generalist forum like Team-BHP:
Current and prospective Skoda and Volkswagen owners in India. That includes people still deciding what to buy, owners a few years in who need real service advice, and long-time owners who want to meet other people who drive the same cars.
Two things set The German District apart from a Facebook group or a generalist automotive forum:
Membership is free. Sign up with Google, then complete a short application naming your car, your city, and why you want to join. Members who arrive via an existing member's invite link are approved instantly; everyone else is reviewed by an admin, usually within a day. There are currently more than 700 approved members.

Is it free to join?
Yes. Membership is free. Every application is reviewed before approval to keep the community genuine owners rather than open to anyone, which is why it isn't instant like a public Facebook group.
How do I join?

How is this different from a Facebook group or a general automotive forum?
Facebook groups and generalist forums serve every car and every owner. The German District is narrow on purpose: every member owns or is buying a Skoda or Volkswagen, every thread is organised by topic (Workshop, Showroom, Buying Advice, Marketplace, Drives) instead of a single unsorted feed, and the car database is specific to these two brands rather than every car sold in India.
