Booking a Slavia next month, torn between 1.0 TSI MT (Ambition) and 1.5 TSI DSG (Style+). Price gap is roughly Rs 3.2L in my city.
1.0 TSI: 115 PS / 178 Nm, 6MT or 6AT 1.5 TSI: 150 PS / 250 Nm, 6MT or 7DSG with ACT (cylinder deactivation)
Daily use is 70% city, occasional Chandigarh/Jaipur trips. Is the 1.5 worth the jump or is it diminishing returns for someone who is not chasing performance?

Drove both back to back before booking mine. The 1.5 TSI DSG genuinely feels like a different class of car on the highway - that mid-range torque for overtakes is night and day versus the 1.0. If your budget allows it and you do highway runs, go 1.5.
For pure city use the 1.0 MT is honestly more than adequate and a lot more forgiving on fuel.

Plus one to what Vikram said. I will add - the ACT (cylinder deactivation) on the 1.5 is seamless, you genuinely cannot feel it cutting to 2 cylinders on a light throttle cruise. Real world mileage on my 1.5 DSG is around 13.5 city, 17-18 highway.
