Always hear people say the Taigun 1.5 TSI feels sportier than the Kushaq despite identical on-paper figures (150 PS/250 Nm). Is this actually true or just brand perception talking? Genuinely considering both for my next car.

There is a slightly different throttle mapping between the two, VW own engineers have mentioned it in interviews - Taigun is tuned marginally sportier out the box, Kushaq slightly more relaxed/linear. In daily driving most people will not notice, but on a spirited drive you can feel VW leaned into a sportier calibration.
